*Past Event* Romance Writing with Kama O'Connor

from $60.00

Time & Location

Jun 09, 2024, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Benjamin Young Inn, 3652 Duane St, Astoria, OR 97103, USA

About the Event

Have you ever dreamed of writing a romance novel or novella? Want to learn about tropes and the difference between a romance and love story? Or have you ever wondered what options there might be for publishing a romance novel? Come talk with Harlequin romance author and Clatsop Community College writing instructor, Kama O'Connor (w/a Kristine Lynn) about all things romance writing.

Kama O'Connor, who writes romance under the pen name Kristine Lynn, has published essays, short stories, and news articles in Military Spouse Magazine, Zone 3, and others. In the past six years, she has been writing and publishing romances with Harlequin, Tule, and smaller presses and has loved the world of sassy heroines and brooding heroes found between the pages of a romance. When she's not writing, guzzling espresso by the cupful, or teaching writing to Clatsop Community College students, she can be found on the forest or beach trails with her daughter and dog.

There are scholarships available to support those who wish to attend the workshop at a reduced or free cost. Email info@thewritersguild.org to request one.
